Join Sea Hawaii Rafting as we go in search of the giant Kona Manta Rays along the Kona Coastline here on the Big Island of Hawaii. You will be boarding our 25 foot rigid hull inflatable Zodiac Hurricane 733 and heading south (about 5 to 6 miles) and arriving to an area that will have the best number of manta rays to view that evening. There are several popular sights where these manta rays migrate at night, and Sea Hawaii Rafting will do their best to find the best possible location to experience this majestic creatures up close. While you are traveling along the coast enjoy the beautiful Kona sunset and learn Hawaiian history, geology and folklore. Once you arrive at the manta ray site you will be given a brief safety speech and outfitted with your snorkel gear. Our crew will not only assist you in the water but will be by your side to help enhance your snorkeling experience. As you relax and float on the surface watch and experience the giant manta rays as they do their “dance” right in front of you. After everyone has experienced what the mantas have to offer you will board back onto the Zodiac to find hot tea, hot chocolate and some light snacks for your enjoyment. On the way back to the Kailua Kona Pier if the evening skies allow we will share some celestial geography with you. So join us for a night to remember!

After boarding our 25 foot rigid hulled inflatable zodiac, Hurricane 733 we head off shore in search of dolphins and various types of marine life on this exciting boat tour. Maybe we'll see a Hawaiian Spinner, Bottlenose or Spotted dolphin as we make our way to our destination - Kealakekua Bay. Kealakekua Bay is the number one marine life sanctuary in the state of Hawaii, and is famously known as Captain Cook’s Monument. Here you will snorkel with an abundance of different species of marine life including fish, eels, octopus, turtles, eagle rays and experience varieties of colorful coral heads. While in the marine sanctuary we will educate you on the history of the famous Captain Cook. You will learn about his rugged crew, his many voyages, his ships and the events that occured on February 14, 1779. After a fun filled experience in Kealakekua Bay, we head back to the pier, but before we do there is a 5-6 mile stretch of coastline to explore! We'll take you into two large sea caves and point out the various sized lava tubes all narrated with Hawaiian history, geology and folklore. Afterwards, we make our way back home to the Kailua Kona Pier.

Also we’ll visit several secluded beaches that are not accessible by car.
