Hey, Kris I wanted to tell you how much fun I had on the boat with you Kris! My Mom (Pearl), Aunt (Linda), cousin (Megan) and I (Sandy) had an amazing time on the boat. I'm not sure if you remember us but we were the girls that screaming and got excited next to the dolphins. I'm the redhead that burnt her butt on the front of your boat as you were asking how I was doing. It was Tuesday the 8th of July, just a few weeks ago. That trip was the best time of my life. Having you start the week was a bonus. The water was so amazing that day, we watched the water each day and Tuesday was the perfect day. Thanks for the great experience and history of the caves and animals. I felt really good when we pulled the plastic bag and trash out of the current, I wouldn't want anything to hurt my babies (dolphins and all animals). That rafting, snorkeling, geography/anthropology/history lesson, dolphin frolicking adventure was a major highlight of our 2 1/2 weeks in Hawaii. Going out with Kris is like hanging out with a good buddy and his friends for a day. He and Shannon were both so welcoming and accommodating. I have the coolest little movie on my camera of a pod of spinner dolphins dancing around in the ocean, and some fascinating Hawaiian folklore as told by Kris to share with all our friends back home. You know how scared I was and you guys did more than expected to make me feel good and safe. As I mentioned I am a Mexican girl from the dessert never a water lover, specially the fish swimming around me was not something I was looking for, but after you guys help me get over my fear, I wish I could stay watching the fish forever! Aloha, I have been on many vacations to Hawaii and done some snorkeling before, but I saw more fish, sea caves, dolphins and had more fun than any previous outing anywhere I have been on. Your captain was very knowledgeable and entertaining which really made the excursion top-notch. Lenny B.
Aloha Shannon and Brian, We so appreciated all you did for us to help us have such a great day on Kona! You both went above and beyond in making our snorkel day such a terrific one. Being able to snorkel in both Honaunau Bay and Kealakekua Bay was a dream come true. What a treat to have the spinner dolphins surround the boat and show off for us! Also, getting to see the lava sea caves and lava tubes was such a different experience. We won't forget the day and how you made the trip so special. Kris & Crew, Our trip with Sea Hawaii Rafting was outstanding! We had a small group with personal service. We saw whales, dolphins, turtles and some of the best snorkeling ever. The trip back included sea caves, lava tubes and Hawaiian history. All in all a great trip! Neal & Yo Buchanan
Aloha, My snorkeling outing with "Captain Kris" was a great introduction to Big Island terrestrial and marine ecology as well as local Hawaiian culture. I was impressed with is ability to "go with the flow" of the whims of our group and of spectacular viewing opportunities of marine life that presented themselves along the way. Dave Osmond
I'm not a big water person, so I wasn't excited about Sea Hawaii Rafting's snorkel trip but Captain Kris made this a very special experience. I noticed he was constantly checking to be sure everyone in the water was ok. We saw so many dolphin pods that I lost track counting, also some sea turtles. Another experience well worth repeating. This excursion was one of the highlights of our trip. OK- seeing Chris without his shirt was Sherry's top highlight! Kris did a wonderful job and we even got the other two guests in the water for their first snorkel. After a little practice, we couldn't get them out of the water. On the way back, we were right in the middle of a pod of spinners. I have seen dolphins many times but not like this. We discussed how much we enjoyed our excursion with some of the waiters on the ship. Kind Regards,
